分 说 明:Boxers train at the Gleason's Gym, in Brooklyn, New York City, USA, on Monday, Sep. 24, 2007. Gleason's Gym is the oldest boxing gym in America. Founded in 1937, at the South Bronx by Bobby Gleason, an Italian who changed his name to fit better with the Irish community to whom boxing was more associated with. Over the decades, the gym was home for many legends of boxing, like Muhammad Ali, then Cassius Clay, who trained there in 1964 before fighting and beating Sonny Liston for the world title. Jake LaMotta, Jimmy Carter, Hector Camacho, Julio Cesar Chavez and Mike Tyson, all have trained there as well at one point in their careers. Since 1984, Gleason's is located in the Brooklyn where its aura and history is well preserved in a converted warehouse near the Brooklyn Bridge and is still the cradle of many fighters who aspire to one day win a world title.
